How do I find an IGL for my VALORANT team?

Post an LFP listing on Ascend Recruit with the IGL flag set and the rank/role floor you need. The LFT board has an IGL filter so applicants self-mark whether they want to call — combine it with the role and rank filters to shortlist.

Do IGLs play a specific role in VALORANT?

Not necessarily. The most common IGL agents are controllers (Omen, Astra) and sentinels (Killjoy, Cypher) because the utility cycle leaves more brain space for calling, but IGLs frag from every role at the pro level (TenZ historically called from duelist, Boaster calls from initiator).
