Most loyalty programs end at "you get a discount." Ascend adds a second layer, spender tiers: Discord roles awarded automatically based on lifetime shop spend, with visible status inside the Discord server and tier-exclusive offers attached. They are the gamified-status part of the Ascend economy, and they are worth knowing about even if you never aim for them.
This is a tight explainer: the two tiers that exist today, how the OAuth role sync works, and what the roles actually unlock beyond the visible badge.
The two tiers
Ballers: ₹10,000 lifetime spend
The first tier. Hit ₹10,000 in lifetime Ascend Shop spend (any combination of VP, Steam Wallet, Roblox, Genshin, MLBB, BGMI, Minecoins, ExitLag) and the Ballers role lands on your Discord automatically. Visible to everyone in the server.
Big Money: ₹25,000 lifetime spend
The upper tier. ₹25,000 lifetime triggers the Big Money role, replacing Ballers. Visible status above the regular member tier in the Discord member list.
How OAuth keeps the role in sync
When you link Discord to your Ascend account (one-click OAuth, no extra password), the shop checks your lifetime spend in real time and the bot assigns the correct role. No support ticket, no proof screenshot, no manual claim. Every new order updates the cumulative total and triggers a role upgrade the moment you cross a threshold.
Same mechanism in reverse: if you change your Discord username, your role moves with you. If you change your Ascend region, your lifetime spend is preserved (points are region-locked, but the spend total isn't; it is a single counter).
What the roles actually unlock
Beyond the visible badge, four concrete benefits at the tier levels:
- Exclusive offer windows. Tier-gated channels run periodic flash sales, e.g. extra-deep VP discounts open for Ballers and Big Money for 24-hour windows before the rest of the server sees them.
- Higher giveaway tier entries. Server giveaways (especially Night Market tie-ins) use weighted entries. Big Money roles get extra entries automatically; Ballers get one extra.
- Priority support. Tier-roled members are routed to a dedicated support thread queue. Response times are tighter, which matters if a payment hangs at peak hours.
- Event invites. Tier holders are first to be invited to community events (game nights, scrim leagues, custom tournaments).
Why tiers matter for community, not just discount
You could argue the loyalty cashback alone covers the financial value of buying through Ascend, and you would be right (we did the math here). Tiers exist for a different reason: visibility.
Reaching Big Money on Ascend isn't just a wallet milestone; it is a public signal in a server where you spend time. Other members recognise long-term buyers. The bot announces tier promotions. New members see who the active long-term community is. That is impossible on Codashop or Rootershop, where there is no audience to see your spend.
See why community matters more than the discount for the full argument on this.
Tier progress and where to check it
Your tier progress shows in two places:
- Your Ascend account page (/account): lifetime spend total plus distance to the next tier.
- Inside Discord, use the
My Loyaltybutton in the Ascend Shop channel; it surfaces wallet balance plus tier progress in one card.
Frequently asked
What are the Ascend Shop spender tiers?
Two tiers in 2026: Ballers at ₹10,000 lifetime shop spend, and Big Money at ₹25,000 lifetime spend. Both are Discord roles assigned automatically via OAuth, with no manual claim required.
Does spending in the Discord shop count toward tier progress?
Yes. Lifetime spend is a single counter across the web shop and the Discord shop; they share the same backend, so every order on either surface counts toward tier progress.
Do Ascend tier roles ever expire or reset?
No. Tiers are based on lifetime spend, not annual. Once you hit a threshold, the role is permanent. There's no annual reset, downgrade, or activity requirement.
What benefits do Ballers and Big Money roles unlock?
Tier-gated flash-sale windows, extra giveaway entries, priority support routing, and early invitations to community events (game nights, scrim leagues). The roles also serve as visible community status in the Discord server.
